ChevyBoy95
Honesty, I just use a paper towel and wipe the damn dirt off. Have never had a single piece fall off, or not stick like a mofo. Aj11
I've never used second skin, but I've used a bit.of others. dyna mat, stinger road kill, the sq stuff, and cheap gt mat ( which actually worked pretty good! used it on the 97 formula install i did. that's what the kid bought so i used it. it really surprised me) but the stinger was the easiest to put on.and the hardest to get off! i wasted.a good Size piece. i wasnt paying attention and grabbed a big piece instead of the precut piece. well.i tried and tried to pull it back off. ended up cutting my hand pretty good and never got it off. a 2ft by 2ft piece for a 6inch by 10inch spot. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

CleanSierra
You guys know Windex is a wax based product right? Stuff didn't like to stick to wax. If the metal is clean and free of dirt, no chemicals would be needed for deadener to adhere. I use acetone for panels that need more than a damp wipe down. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

SnowDrifter
Clean the grease off(if applicable) with a degreaser, lightly scuff with sand paper, wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust. That's what I've always done The adhesive on deadener is pretty strong ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
