Thanks brotha! I got a bunch more done this weekend. I have all the major components bolted to the motor now, except the alt. I had to paint it. But that will be put on tonight. Then it's alot of little stuff left to do. Wire harness, hoses, vacuum lines, emissions stuff, radiator etc. Then fluids, and PRAY TO CHRIST IT STARTS!!!!!!!!

Oooo man has it been a crazy couple of weeks!!! I have so many more pictures to post. BUT, more importantly, I'm hoping to turn the key tomorrow night or Friday! I'm that close!! All that's left is the following:

Air Intake Tubes

Breather Tube (attaches to the intake tubes)

Radiator

A/C Condenser

Transmission Cooler

Headlights

Grill and trims

Change Transmission Filter and Fluid

Change both Oil Filters

Add Oil

Add Power Steering Fluid

Add Radiator Fluid

Install Battery

TURN THE DAMN KEY!!!!!!!!!! Tune it!

It's getting so close!! Thanks for being patient with me everyone. I got the vacuum lines in, and the new fan on last night, and went to put the belts on but they gave me the wrong belt for one of them. Got the right one this morning so we're ready. But I won't be home tonight so tomorrow night i'll be back on it, and I'm off Friday. I'm hoping that I'll have a video of her purring Friday night!! I should have pics and a video up Friday night if all goes well.

No not in this one. This one is getting sold after this.

I am going to be doing a build on the other one however.

I have an update on this one! She's fired up!! Got her started last night after some heartache the night before. A ground broke on the block and I had some issues. Burnt up an ICM also. So I spent yesterday troubleshooting and fixing it, and she fired up last night about 10:00. Still more to do, tuning and fluid stuff. But she runs and she fires right up. Very happy this morning.

I have about 250 pics as of now to upload, and probably will but up over 300 by the time I'm finished. That's obviously going to take some time to upload. So, be patient with me. There's lot to see. Well lots to see for those who are interested in this process of a motor rebuild.

Thanks for hanging with me everyone. Sorry this didn't turn into an audio project as well. That was the plan, but we need the money out of it now.

Hey, I have. It's been a year off and on love hate relationship with this thing.

Civic is long gone. We traded it and my wife's accord in for her 2015 Explorer. Then I bought a 2006 F250 Lariat with a 6.0L. We work right next to each other now, so we carpool about 90% of the time. But with this one down, we needed another truck to tow our trailer we wanted, and to do hauling. We bought our trailer back in March I think, and so we've been camping as well.

Now that this truck is up and running I can get it finished up and put up for sale. I have everything to get going on the F250 build, so that will be happening next for sure.

Ok so aside from a small leak which I'm hoping to fix tonight, and some cosmetics, she's done. Running, tuned, sounds great, and I'm about ready to take it for a test drive. I just don't want to before I fix that leak. It's a radiator leak between a hose and the housing for the thermostat. Hose clamps aren't strong enough to stop it, and I don't know what happened to the spring clamps I had for it. SO I'll have to get new ones for those today.

Better off replacing the housing. I seen the picture you posted of it a while back, looked a bit rough. Especially if it was originally chrome. They flake and leak. Could try taking wirewheel to it and knock the crap off and it should seal. Or take hairspray and spray it down once its clean, and it should seal it. I've heard that being used as a trick. Once it dries its sticky and holds.

How come you didnt rtv around the water jackets on the lower intake? hopefully it won't leak. Ive always did mine that way. Prevents it. Mines more work to take apart though lol..
