I would like to know what the real world sound difference is and also any other differences (dimensions, power handling, Response, etc). How much power did you have running to them when you fried the x-overs? oldsoundguy Posted May 23, 2014 Report Share Posted May 23, 2014 I have 2 sets in my doors of the XXX 6.5 component sets. I like the way they sound. Very loud and lots of mid bass. I have them running off a soundqubed q4 120 and it puts out about 170 per channel at 2 ohms. Takes the power very easy. Only problem is that I haven't listened to that many speakers. I had a set of pioneer 6.5s that sucked, a set of alpine type s that sucked compared to the RE. I've only seen pics of them, they look more bad ass then the ones I have but I've read the new ones are better.
