most car idle a little under, or at 1k. 650rpm seems a little low imo.

It has the metal post where two wires go; one for the POS battery lead and another ring terminal goes on there and that one goes into the wiring harness. Then there is the black plastic electrical snap connection and there are 4 pins in there.

I had my stock alt rebuilt. A smaller pulley does improve charging voltage at idle but you do wear your brushes and bearing alot faster. Also Take into consideration once your alternator gets hot the charging voltage drops. Mine does very well when the alternator is cold 14.8V but once it gets hot im only getting about 13-13.2V at idle (700-750 rpm for me) When the alternator is hot i have to rev upto 900rpms to get upto 13.8V. If it worked for years and now its not working i would say you wore down your brushes. I would have the brushes replace for the heck of it, if its been 3 years.

. Its possible his vehicle is idling lower then it should which is why its not charging anymore. this is another thing to consider might be a problem. I would say at least 700-750 rpm is normal idle but every vehicle varies

Im confused. Obviously some how you are uping your charging voltage by the looks of the video? Im not familiar what that device is your using and how it works please explain?

Do you know if this will work on a 2013 Toyota Camry? It's driving me eeef'n nutz sitting at 13.6 all the time! I bought a MechMan 240 and 3 AGM's for 3K watts and my voltage drop is MUCH MUCH better. Only about .4 at most on big bass hits. But, I wonder what it's like to have 14+ volts actually going to my amps? I wonder how much power I'm actually losing? I know it's a formula, but I'm too lazy right now to work it out. I know my batteries are being charged, as I checked them this morning before I started my car and they read 12.88. Probably a tad over charged...

Will the VCM work with any vehicle?
