Then make sure your design flows (sub towards the port and a smooth flow from the rear port to the front port). Of course you know nothing is set in stone about these enclosures and your best bet is to build with change in mind. That is why my box worked out so well, I built it with enough volume and in a way that I could change in case of bad results.
