Recommended Posts

Do you even have a way to see your voltage in the car while you are playing?

fuck the plating. look at what the main metal used is. you could buy unicorn blood plated terminals but if its just covering up dog shit, whats the point

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

Your telling me you blew a 4inch coil on a sp4 from a 5000 watt amp wired at 2 ohms?

roflmao

Ive giving Fi woofers way more power than that and never burnt a single coil, ever!

Gain and Bass Boost all the way turnt up, next stop clip city bitch clip clip city bitch

PS: I love the "I dont have electrical to support my amp, but I know blowing the sub is not my fault"

Fine fuck it if it was my fault than yea maby it was like i said its not like i dont plan on upgrading the electrical im just waiting on the damn batteries to arrive i just wanted to test the system i mean who wouldnt right??... no rootbeer i dont.. ive been working on this system for two months just ordering and waiting for things to arrive and im still missing a few things its like im addicted to this stuff enough to spend a whole paycheck just like that i just dont wanna buy another recone and have the same thing happen even with the electrical so thats why im leaning towards getting a team sub maby that can take the abuse.. thia sp4 blew wayy to easy in my mind at least i was expecting a rugid ass sub but it blew just as fast as a kicker l7 i had on a Rockford t1500 i use to have lol within minutes but i did that on purpse lol

A volt meter cost $30. Also, when you step into this big of power, waiting for your electrical to be up to par is key, or you risk just blowing shit up for no reason. Also, again, when dealing with this much power. Not properly tuning your amps, again is just bad, because you risk blowing everything up over nothing.

The thing is it could of been a fault coil.things can happen.in all honesty it takes a lot to blow these woofer.but by you not waiting on the proper steps in building this system. its hard believe its the woofer.when you get these batteries use good power ground wire.keep your connection solids don't skimp on anything.buy the good stuff once you won't have to buy again.

i don't know a lot about FI subs, but isnt 5 cubes a lot for one 15?

been thinking that the entire thread. I've always heard SP4's like large enclosures but 3500w to a single 15 in a 5(maybe more) cubic foot enclosure just screams something fucking up. Hell, I'm running a 15 in 3.8... From all the research I did, I found that SP4's are happy in 4ish. 3.9-4.2... Hell I could probably throw one in my box inverted and it'd do fine on that saz5k.
