meade916
as for the black-border comment, this is what bigmizzle is talking about http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/187017-polaris-rzr-4-900-sound-system-install-ipad-mini-in-dash-finished-system-done-page-12-62614/?p=2810777 as far as the lighting, if you are trying to light a logo up, you should edge light. If you are lighting the BOX itself up, it's usually best to tuck them as far out of the way as you can, perhaps behind the black border, so you see the box lit up but you do not see the source (the actual led's). It is hard to hide the led's because they reflect off of everything near by though All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! soundsystemaniac
nice plexi work Thanks man! had my old bmw ported through the ski hole just like that. have u thought about sealing off the bottom of the port from the rest of the trunk? Thought about it, yes, but since the seats dont fold down, Its more difficult than its worth for the budget that he had for the build. Wow man that turned out really, really nice! Thankyou very much sir. I never saw it in my mind looking half that good. I took a step back yesterday when i I finished it up and I was shocked lmao. All my friends are telling me they freaking love it! So, that helps my attitude about it also! dude, NICE JOB!! just like everyone else here, your next will be better and the one after that will be even better......it's how i learned and still learning. But for real, you did great! Thanks Steve! as for the black-border comment, this is what bigmizzle is talking about http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/187017-polaris-rzr-4-900-sound-system-install-ipad-mini-in-dash-finished-system-done-page-12-62614/?p=2810777 as far as the lighting, if you are trying to light a logo up, you should edge light. It is hard to hide the led's because they reflect off of everything near by though Ah, yes, the black edge. I may consider pulling the trim panels out to spray the border of the plexi and hide the leds better. Turned out looking nice. But i have to say, it doesn't look like you got the box sealed properly. What do you mean not sealed correctly? If you mean between the plexi and the wood, I went around after it was attached for the final time with a small bead of clear silicone to seal it all up On a side note, I can't believe how good the Kickers look in here lol Chevy astro 2 18s and 9k rms Walled!http://www.stevemead...rms-42-inch-tv/JEEP GRAN CHEROKEE SRT8 BUILD!2 JL AUDIO 15s trunk buildDC XL 15 buildDC level 3 18 buildhttp://www.stevemead...verunner-build/ http://www.facebook....hp?id=646651228
truthsayer
If you sealed it up, Great. Wasn't trying to knock you. It just doesn't look like there is a bead between the plexi and wood. Just looks like the bead is on the inner edge. truthsayer

Just looks like the bead is on the inner edge No problem at all! in the pics above, there isnt a bead at all, The bead was added after and I dont have a pic of it. ( i did a terrible job at taking pictures in this build) The bead is on the inner edge, not between the plexi and wood. Should there be a bead between wood and plexi? Or weather stripping of some sort? I thought just the seal between the carpet and wood would be enough, but siliconed it anyways.
