I ordered my alt Sept 20th, 2013. I was told there was a 2-3 week lead time. On October 2nd, I got a message from Mike saying that the alt just shipped (a week, and 6 days). Not only that, but he said that he power coated it too for no charge.. A COMPLETE surprise to me. I didnt pay for that, so i didnt expect it.. His CS is untouchable where as DC is spotty, but I prefer to do things once and not ever see it again. When I do things twice I get pissed. DC appears to have more R&D put into their product, simply because they have the revenue to do so. The other alternator makers don't really give an inside look into what they do like DC. Oh yeah, powdercoated to match my factory paint color, no charge. And they gave me a credit for giving them my POS Irraggi. Not much but still. I've used this fucking thing for nearly 3 years on big systems and less battery help than I should have, and its still going HAM. Bash DC all you want, but they are not a caraudio alt company first. I would imagine high profile clients get top notch service everywhere.I would love to see their facilities but I live in Tx. It's going in a 2007 Hyundai Accent, which I concede can't be an easy car to fabricate an alt for. But it stands that I was quoted a time and it took 4x as long with no explanation as of yet. I am trying not to mindlessly bash DC, I am just disgruntled.
