Well yesterday I did some box swapping since I have 7 of them laying around, ended up leaving the same enclosure I had in my last vehicle in which before the recones was doing a 144.4 at 49Hz and that score would not go higher even trying from 40Hz - 55Hz. Got in the garage this morning to test the new recones and the in this same box burped a 145.3 at 46Hz and I am seeing real voltage drop the the amp is actually pulling more. Next up is a new enclosure.

The JBL mid's were amazing, but just not bright enough for my tastes anymore, they are like 10 years old and the size in my doors has always been 6.5's. I have no plans to get rid of them I'll reuse them somewhere. I love how the eminence sound they are clean crisp and sound very nice. I will probably be getting another pair for the rear doors as soon as I figure out what set of tweeters I want for the rears I cannot use the same tymphany's in the rear due to mounting restrictions. New enclosure will be started next month as I am going to rip out the entire floor in the back of the jeep gaining around 4-5" of depth in the rear.

Working on the last enclosure today, I say last because I am just tired, tired of building for nothing. If this doesn't show improvement I will just pick a box throw it in and leave it be.

Box is 3.76cuft net with 50sq in of port area tuned to 39Hz, the subs and port are both going to fire back.

And it's a flop, just does what all the other boxes do around 144.

I pulled it and put one of the others back in so I have a bit lower extension, glad I didn't go too far on finishing this box since it did not gain.

Meh it is what it is, I am either going to pick one of the enclosures strip the carpet and do a super nice finish job on it, or sell the ZV3s and get 4 SA 12s or 2 15s (dunno what brand) and try that.
