will someone explain to me why when something like this happen people bring up AL Sharpton and Jesse jackson. Noone in the black community has paid them any attention since the 80's. I mean when they die from OLD age... who will people bring up then??

Those dudes are trying to get paid and have the biggest mouths. They don't know shit anymore about being poor, but uneducated people see them on T.V. in a suit and think they might know some shit. Truth be told, I remember being told that Jesse Jackson set up MLK so why anybody black trusts him is beyond me. If I'm not mistaken, Sharpton was part of a drug ring so he really aint shit to follow. At the end of the day, the vocal minority of the black community seems to have the need to have one voice speak for the entire black community instead of getting together with everyone in their community and having a united front.

Protip: The place to fight the police is IN COURT not on the streets while trying to "keep it real". If you take on a 90 IQ steroid freak with a badge and gun and dozens of friends who are the same you will lose.

Honestly I have a couple friends that are in law enforcement and I can tell you that even decent guys after a few years of 40+ hour weeks dealing with the absolute dregs of humanity get a bit jaded, so even the "decent" ones can give you trouble if you go out of your way to be an asshole or win an argument with them. (And yes, I can count my cop friends so it's easier to keep track of them).

Do not provoke them, do not run, do not make threatening gestures or fast unexpected movements. "I want to speak to a lawyer" should be the only words you say to them beyond identifying yourself.

Your words are gospel truth. As a black man i have been harrassed by the police for no reason many times... Thats just comes with being black. I was pulled over in an all white suburb once ...frisked .. car searched and given a ticket for " driving with no apparent destination" Court threw that right out ofcourse. I wanted to call them every name in the book... but instead I followed the cops commands and let my lawyer deal with anything else... I am not giving the cops any reason to shoot me down or beat me down or lock me up for some fake charge. Usually if you treat them with respect and dont let them goad u into anything...all you have with them is a polite conversation.

Philly cops are fucked up anyway. The last time I was down there I was working at Sungard on Broad street. I got stopped because I was walking at 3 am and I was white. Now I know the area isnt the best since I couldnt even get a cab to stop but just because Im walking at 3am doesnt mean I'm up to no good. And I'm as white as they come.

There's just misguided anger in some people that reside in the community.. I have been in this situation and you are extremely angry. We had the same thing happen in my city, and although I disagree with looting our own businesses and stores; (black owned businesses and stores), I do understand where these people are coming from. I don't blame them for being angry, because I am.angry and was angry when it happened in Cincinnati, but I have to say that some people just don't know any other way.

Even though I feel the way I do, I still believe that the thieves should be prosecuted.

It's sad how the police took action against the protestors also. Way too much force and targeting every one to get control whether you were involved or not. I saw women, kids, old people, media, black, white, every one getting shot with bean bag guns, rubber bullets and damn near run down by horses. I sped away as quickly as I could and am lucky to not have been caught up in that craziness.

Last thing I wanna say is that all police are not bad but I hate 99% of them due to the things that I have seen during our riots, during my life being a Black Man, and just getting profiled period for no reason.

If you think that black folks have the monopoly on being mistreated by police you are sadly mistaken. If you're up for some reading PM me for stories so that we don't hijack the thread, or just ask around, as I'm sure almost everybody here has a story or ten.

The social engineers manipulating these events in the media are about one thing, a totalitarian world socialist government. Socialism is the religion of victims and requires dependency to control the mob. Socialists want EVERYONE to be a victim, helpless, dependent, and without faith (ie. in fear). I can 100% vouch for this. If you're near the ho-stroll or the dope house areas and are white you'll get fucked with by police really quick.
