NOTES ON ROBIN WILLIAMS STORIES/HEDES!!

Thank you to everyone who did a great story [sic] with keeping our stories SEO strong with the * Robin Williams dead at 63 * header for the first 24 hours. Starting tomorrow morning, we can scale back on the robot talk (meaning no death header) just as long as the stories continue to *start* with his full name and include buzzy search words like *death, dead, suicide, etc.*

Quit buying crap, look at Rockford, sundown, crescendo, dc, just to name a few. I hate when people ask, "well if my stuff is shit then what's good?" start by using the problem solving portion of your brain and look at this sites partner companies. Brands that we trust enough to allow them a spot on our forum. Shit, just google it even. If its less then a grand new, you aren't getting a good reliable 5k out of a monoblock. Just sayin.

The way you guys run your amps it wouldn't matter what brand he gets. I've seen more so-called quality amps broken more than the cheap ones.

i love this sh--t man 1966 Ford Fairlane Pioneer prs 80, the big three, with 2 big azz agm batts, dual 270/200 amp alts , two 8'' mids and tweets in the kick( PPI phantom 600.2). two 10''s and tweets in the doors, two 10'' mids and tweets in the rear decK ( Lanar opti 500x2). 2 C2 Audio Threatcon 4 12s on a Crunch GP3000d. No crossover .

thats because the cheap amps don't put out any power. i feel like more power = more prone to issues if they're not taken care of in R&D.

Well ill be going a different route later in the future. Going for two 15" T2 at 1 ohm stable. Debating to either keep all Rockford Fosgate equipment or mix and match...

STOP,STOP,STOP!!!! lol.

You can not step up to 2 T2 15"s with the amps you are currently running or chose to run even if you had the money to do it! I see all the time " I want more" mentality. Take the time to do things right. You will see you probably can't afford to do it right.

(2) RF T2.................................................................................................$1200 new

Things to consider when choosing these subs.............

(2) RF 1000amps from Ebay....................................................................$500 used

(1) Alternator upgrade.............................................................................$300 new

(1) 30+ft 1/0 g. Stinger or QUALITY wire upgrade with big 3 done..........$150 used

As you can see, to run high end subs, you need the back end equivalent to do it right. You're better off recalculating your finances, cut it in half.....spend half on the subs, and the other half on the proper equipment! If you don't, it's Half assed.

If you have not upgraded your electrical, start there FIRST! I upgraded my gf's daughter's GMC JImmy with a 220A alternator and 1/0 Stinger wire I purchased used on Ebay. Than I used 0 gauge Stinger from Ebay to the 2 Avionixx amps in the back of the truck. These are mid grade amps, but when fed PROPERLY, they sound great! What a difference a proper power supply can make. I am going to buy about 15+ft of 1/0 or 0 g. wire off ebay to re-do my gf's son's truck . I originally did the big 3 with 4 gauge, which was an upgrade from stock, and he has 2 g. feeding his Crossfire VR amps. Seeing what 0 gauge could do, that is what I will always recommend from now on. HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Professional experience here. I have never owned a quality product that just randomly "craps out".

I have had numerous soundstream/hifonics/crunch/planet audio. ALL but one gave me problems. Surprisingly the HFI1500.1 still works. Both brz 1700 and 2100 crapped out randomly. One smoked and started pulsing the other smoked by just driving over a speed bump (loose parts inside). The sound stream rubi 2500 went up in smoke immediately out if the box. Ran back into my shop and replaced it. Worked for 3 weeks on my nightshade until the protect light got stuck on (bad power supply). Its just never ending and I thought I could get away with it because I have been installing at this shop for some time so I get good discounts on cheap shit.

Now I have 2 saz2500's 2 sq3500.1's & 1 saz3500. The only time I ever had a problem was full tilting my two saz2500's till a few caps blew up lol.

See the difference here is it just took a few parts to completely fix the saz2500 instead of damaging beyond repair like the last 5 crap amps I had, I also damaged it having fun and not a random buzz kill.

Here is another thing, I'm pretty sure a planet audio 5500 will blow a RF T2 long before a RF1500 will. Aluminum comes really Do not like any type of clipping.
