Still didn't answer who designed and built it. Also, think 28in of port is way to little.

I had a friend design and build it. He has built some very successful boxes and subs

Destroy the box and build a simple ported box(4th order non bandpass). Fire forward and seal the box off around the opening into the cabin.

Which subs are you using? I looked but apparently I can't read well, or it's not listed.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

I want a good bandwidth for sq and love the looks of the box I just want a bit louder for when I meter

Ok here are some serious questions that need to be answered honestly and accuratly.

1.That light that i see above your enclosure looking in from the trunk,is that exposed to the cabin?

2.how are you metering output? Mic position? Car sealed?

3.most of your high output would be coming from the ported side of the enclosure, how is your cabin response to 47hz?

If your rear deck lid (below rear glass) doesnt have some type of deadener it will cost you a shit ton of output considering you have a port facing into the cabin. Same with any exposed area from trunk to cabin even if its just a 1" hole or even a 1/4" hole.

You need more port area,i understand you like musical bandwidth but you must understand that bandwidth is looked upon by the car+enclosure combination. Not just the enclosure.... new box time, and dont skimp out on port area,it still has a sealed chamber for crying out loud.

If you are metering with the vehicle sealed, and your cabin is really isolated from the trunk then 135db sounds right for two sa10s on approx 300/400rms with 13sq inches of port each.

Impedance rise and that port is likely what's killing your score. If you want loud and bandwidth, a simple ported enclosure CAN achieve those results. I know guys get this thing in their head that ported enclosures don't have good "SQ", but they do just fine when designed and built right.

Again, destroy your box and start over. Do a simple ported box with sufficient port area, fired forward and sealed off from the trunk around the edges of the box. I know 4th order bandpass boxes are the sexy thing to do lately but much can be said for the old saying that less is more.

I was going to say to flip the port around... But ^^THIS^^ guy beat me to it

It looks too close to the subs, and too close to the back of the ported chamber

Also... Have you taken the time to figure out the resonant frequency of your sealed side?

small box, small port, poor rear deck lid sealing/dampening job (if at all), and probably heavy on the lowpass I bet.

MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..."

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

Id flip the port around but need to remove my rear seats to do so. The back isn't sealed off at all and zero sound deadening. That's next on the list.

So 1200rms on 2 10s with a somewhat lower score then most would expect.

Things mentioned to fix this issue that don't require a complete rebuild

1. Deadener

2. Sealing off good

3. Electrical upgrades

4. Getting on the meter and moving stuff around in the car such as seats, mirrors, headrests, yourself etc..

Stuff to do that require a bit more of a rebuild

1. New box

2. Bigger port

3. Change tuning

I had 2 t1d410 on a p500.1bd in a prefab doing a 138+. Was a hatchback so easier to get loud but I had no effort put into it at all other then running wire and hooking it up.

You have more potential with what you have with out a doubt.

Try moving the port to the left? Lol

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
