Isn't the efficiency of most class D amps measured at a 4 ohm load? If this is the case I would assume that as the ohm load drops so would the efficiency. Better efficiency would equate to less voltage drop in my opinion. So two amps at 2 ohms should be slightly better efficiency wise than one at 1 ohm. I'm sure Tony will show up with some confusing formula and confuse the hell out of us.

no need for the formula.. the man said it would be more efficient and sound better so thats all i need.

so going along with this kind of.... what would be more efficient strapped amps at 2 ohms running 4000 or 2 amps running at 1 ohm 2000 each...

will it be the same in theory? or am i over thinking it

you are over thinking it.. we were in no way shape or form talking about strapping..

oh i know we weren not talking about strapping just curious if one way or another was more or not

the same power wise or are you still talking efficiency?

efficiency ive seen plenty of posts that say strapping mostly see less power i mean even the manual for my 02's say its less wattage strapping...

the end result is going to be the same so i dont think that strapping is going to make it more efficient by any means..
