Hey guys, this is my first post so please understand if i sound foolish. Alright, so my question is how do i design a wall? my goal as of right now is to build a wall in my 2001 chevy cavalier that can house 4 15" rockford fosgate t2's. The problem im having is i don't know how much airspace i have and i have no clue how to tune a wall to a specific Hz. I also don't know how to calculate my port size. if you guys are decent with this kind of stuff i would greatly appreciate the help. thanks for looking guys and if we figure this out i will definitely be doing a build log

From your lack of knowledge, a wall isn't for you. Start with a basic ported box and go from there.

Take a scroll through some of the walled builds on the forum, there's no set way of doing other than a having shit load of wood, foam, glue, and metal. Starting with a good knowledge base is key.

You'd basically just have to get some rough dimensions, find the maximum volume you can get and work with that. A wall is tuned the same way as any other enclosure. If you're committed to doing a wall, then you shouldn't have trouble with the build process.

Depends on how youre planning on building. 4 15s takes a decent amount of space. Your first goal is figuring out whether or not you can get your box built with the proper airspace as an actual square box. If you cant, youll have to form a shell contoured to the inside of the car.

Start by measuring the inside of back aeat cabin area. Find out what your max dimensions are for fitting in a square box on the back seat platform. (Bottom of seat platform to roof for height, door to door width etc). Start there, and once you have your max dimensions for that, use a btc or similar program to calculate airspace. If your max dimensions dont allow for a proper amount of airspace on a square box, you have to build a shell. This is a lot more difficult.

Edit: my first box was a square, so i did exactly what i posted above, and then built a false floor that was bolted into the body of the car(think of a false floor as a shelf that covers the backseat platform). From that false floor i then constructed my box onto that, and bolted the box into the false floor, and then other various spots to reinforce the box to the car.
