OrionStang Posted November 29, 2014 Author Report Posted November 29, 2014 They finally got my Mom through a dialysis procedure this morning and it has helped alot, as was expected. They were able to remove the breathing tube/ventilator, and she has been much more herself according to my Dad. Still slept alot through the day. Although the results were positive, her kidneys still aren't functioning right. Meaning her blood will build up toxicity again and another round of dialysis will have to be done. The only other option is a kidney transplant, but the doctors say that her body is way too weak to handle that type of procedure at this point. So, although today was very positive, we are nowhere near out of the woods, so to speak. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

OrionStang Posted December 2, 2014 Author Report Posted December 2, 2014 My Mom was released from the hospital today. She is still extremely ill, but in much better shape than a few days go. Her kidneys are functioning on their own again, but there is some sort of blockage which the docs think is holding the infection from clearing completely. A minor outpatient surgery will be done to address that when she gains a little more strength. This is still far from over, but things are definitely heading in a positive direction.
