Options for 1 Ohm Load- 2 x Dual 1ohm Subs

Hi Guys there must be two options to wire these up

Im just tryin to confirm.

I can individually wire each sub parallel then wire both in series.

OR

each sub in seires and then parallel its the same result right ?

Correct, those are your two options.

If it were me, id go the 1st route. Make each sub .5 ohms then series

if you series the coils then parallel the subs, if one blows you are at a safe impedance, but you now have a sub in a huge box.

I would prefer them both to shut off if one goes bad, so I won't break the fine one lol. But that's just me

if he goes the 1st route and blows one coil then the amp would see 1.5 ohms.

If he blows both coils in one sub then in it's an open circuit, no load.

If he blows one coil per sub it's a 1 ohm load.

Explain how he ever drops below a safe level?

VIA 12volt website.= Seems legit to me ?

Option 1 (series/parallel) = 1 ohm load
Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 1 ohm mono

Don't bring whatever you read over at 12volt in here. Don't make that mistake.

It is a great website and an awesome learning tool.

With that said you have your answer in the posts above. be smart, don't over think it and wire your stuff up.
