I cant remember the exact name of the screws but they came in a pack of 10 and can hold 55 lbs apiece and are very coarse threaded.

I'm using 1/4 20 threaded inserts with 1/4 20 bolts and lock washers this time. Had issues with t nuts comming off think they would be fine if u epoxy them in before you bolt in subs. Before that always used wood screws.

Another vote for the spax #14 screws. I've had bad luck with t-nuts. Had to cut/drill out my fair share. They're not for me

I personally make sure whatever type of fastner is used, that the head is FLAT. A lot of people are posting pics of tapered headed screws and those are just bad mojo, asking to break off.

The Spax have an auto counter sinking head and honestly I wouldn't want that chewing up my sub frame even though its really a minimal thing. They also have a tapered head so they could be prone to breaking the head off the screw easier than a flat head screw due to pressure. I have in the distant past experienced screws with tapered heads such as drywall screws breaking at the head, so I switched to a flat head screw type and have never had an issue like that again.
