I think this is the best section for this. But anyways at income tax time I'll be selling or trading in my current Dakota for a new vehicle. Wanting to stay truck or suv only. 2006 or newer, better than 12mpg like 18+ would be great, $15k is budget right now I'm thinking. It'll be on a loan for I think 3 years.
Anyways, heres what I've thought about so far,

id prefer no ford. just personal preference. it will be a daily driver with a SQ system in it.
Just throwing names out. I'd have to look around still be that's what I'm looking at for now. If you have other ones throw them out but I'm much more interested in reviews if you have them. So please leave comments below.
Btw. I'm 6'4" and about 300# so keep that in mind if suggesting anything else.

For audio or for daily or both?

Suburban will have biggest inside dimensions if it's for stereo but they are expensive if you are looking at newer than 2006. If it's just for daily then I'm not sure what to tell ya, that's one hell of a list. I know I LOVE my 07' Tahoe, wish I had bought a Suburban, I'm kind of a Chevy guy when it comes to full size SUV's though.

I don't know enough about all those others to give an honest opinion though. Like long term break downs, repairs, resale, up front cost, value, etc.etc.

I would suggest shopping around right now just to see what things cost so you know when you find a decent deal.

I feel like the body style change from 2006 to 2007 really hurt the interior dimensions for Tahoe's though honestly.

I prefer the Toyotas from everything you've listed, from a mechanical standpoint. I was a Toyota tech for a year and a half, and the newer Tundra/Sequoia is a solid platform. Wheel bearings making noise, front calipers seizing about the only problems I ever saw with those. Evap stuff too, but was always covered under emissions warranty. Also most expensive on your list, though. The 5.7 V8 was around 14mpg on average, I believe.

If you really wanted 18+ Mpg that just Eliminated that whole list lol.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I don't know if you're opposed to honda, but we have had a honda pilot since 2007 I think. It has over a 100,000 miles and it has been worry free besides regular maintenance. Not sure on the fuel mileage but last time we checked Im pretty sure it was around 20.

I'll have to look at them but I think those are pretty small. I'm looking more at a truck platform I should say as I do some towing. $15k is what I'm looking at with around $1500 down and maybe if I sell my truck thathe will help alot.

18mpg isn't required just awesome. Let's go 15+ if possible. Engine idrc as long as it has enough power to tow and not bog down to much. Whatever I get I'll be asking for a full fluid flush and change with any recommended maintenance in that area. like trans case fluid change, trans adjustment, etc.

4.2 i6 trailblazer is the only one out of that lot I'd pick that could come close to your 18mpg+ goal. 60e's can be problematic but nothing major. I've seen them pull mildly sized bass boats no problem. Could even step up to a 5.3 if you could find one.

But yeah, 4.6 3v Ford Explorer, 2006+ would be badass. 6 speed auto, 15 around town, 21 highway. Loved the one we had for awhile, but you're on the bandwagon soooo yep.

Not giving a fuck about mileage I'd be all over a 6.0 3/4 ton Suburban, 4x4. Parts galore. Cheap as hell to get too.
