Colin Taormino Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 I think this is really weird but I just had a snow storm an I am sitting in my durango right now and my subs sound louder than usual why is that? I am puzzled.
Guest Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 you have flu symptoms and are more sensitive to bass frequencies I recommend some chicken soup and bedrest, maybe a nap or 2.
Colin Taormino Posted February 2, 2015 Author Report Posted February 2, 2015 Nah lol I just don't know why this is happening Is it because I didn't clear the snow off my truck so it acts as a sound deadner?
Guest Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 I went to some shows in loud farmtowns and I think the mudding helped their score on the meter so yea maybe but other guys did better on the meter because of excessive rust holes acting like the door is open when it should be a sealed score. then again when it is snowing the humidity is usually 99% so that could make the air youre moving thicker...
Krakin Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Air temperatures affect SPL and tuning of enclosures. Your humidity and some other environmental variables may have changed as well. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
