dude I was considering that jeep to be a real jeep til I saw the pics below it

awesome stuff I heard that hobby is more expensive than car audio

It can and cannot be just depends on how far you want to get into it.

I just bash on mine no fancy stuff and have about $600 total tied up in it.

Just bought my daughter a $220 truck that's pretty damn fun and durable making a few mods to it because the steering sucked and the new parts are about $20 total so for $240 she's gonna have a good truck to bash on.

I also have about $140 tied up in batteries.

Op damn that Jeep looks good.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

threadjack... mate of mine just gave me his old electric buggy rc car, now when I slowly pull the trigger on the remote id gradually increases speed until I get to full throttle then it sorta cuts out, then goes again, then cuts out and goes again ect ect.... I am sorta trying to find out if the problem is in the esc, the transmitter (remote control), the receiver or even the battery I am using. any tips would be great, sorry for the treadjack

Just bought this yesterday. Traxxas Slash VXL

Bought it used, it came with some upgraded parts already: aluminum control arms and skid plates. I added a stronger shock mount to the front end since the one on it seemed weak. Also bought some new tires because the ones on it were street tires and worn out.

I miss mine at times... I don't miss the repair cost though.

Mine started off as a crawler, until I added a 2400Kv 6S motor... It could still crawl, but most of the time it was doing a bunch of backflips.

yeah repairs suck, but not as much as my friend who runs a nitro truck. He hasn't had a day yet where he didn't have a repair. So far I haven't had one, except a shock that was already bad when I bought it (got it used). It finally went all the way out today.

Pretty awesome stuff!

Brushless motors and Lipo batteries were a complete game-changer for the R/C world.

I've never gotten into cars much, but I've done planes for a long time and am starting to get into boats.
