SnowDrifter
- The conductors shall be pre-tinned. - There shall be at least 3 turns around each conductor and the wraps shall be tight with no gaps between adjacent turns. - The wraps shall not overlap and the ends of the wrap shall be trimmed flush prior to soldering to prevent protruding ends. - Conductors shall not overlap the insulation of the other wire. - Solder shall wet all elements of the connection. - The solder shall fillet between connection elements over the complete periphery of the connection. audiofanaticz
it was the only way I found to keep the 2 wires twisted together. dont know how people do it differently tbh. didnt know it was how nasa did it tho. lol but I hold my 2 wires to form an X and then just start twisting both sides. with my thumb and pointer finger. Wicks
Agree. I've done this many times to join wires but I don't tin them first, much easier to twist the wires un-tinned and then solder afterwords and make sure the solar penetrates the strands sufficiently. Broke_Audio_Addict
Same way I just soldered my radio harness minus the pre-tinning, I thought that's how everyone did it. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
