My opinion, this type of thing will always be a popularity contest. Whether it be a friend your voting for or someone that has been an ass in the past that you will always vote against. This has very little to do with build quality. There may be a few, but a vast majority will be by popularity. If this was solely based on build quality, there would be a single run away winner just about every month!

Idk what happened, but when I first joined SMD the SOTM was actually fun, people weren't hungry after the prize. It was all about the fun, and the dedication to a build.

In my opinion, which doesn't matter much to anyone lol.

actually i disagree. 98% of the winners were fully deserving. We had a few issues slip through the cracks over the years that had to be "dealt with" but for the most part, they are all great system's. If 2 systems are good and the member is well known, well he might also be popular enough to get more votes. If it is winning due to "false popularity" then we are usually on top of that fast. We pay attention to this stuff. When it is all said and done, and taken care of then i get to spend the next month hearing how i "cheated the winner" out of his win.

When I won mine, It was a battle to the end. There was no Fagbook promoting. I had to post every day, put up pictures of every little detail of the build I had put so much into. In the end, I won by 7 votes, but there was absolutely no drama.

If you want to win, you need to sell it HERE ON SMD FIRST. Post daily vids and pics, and tell everyone why yours setup deserves to win.

thats what people dont get.. i have seen it that the people who post in here get the most votes.. people think just by nominating them selves and not log in for 3 weeks will get them votes.. chances are people have not seen the build and posting it here will have people see it

Ok guys, here is the deal.

After checking half the night on all the votes, here is the outcome.

As of 3/31, Razon had 26 ELIGIBLE votes.

Sideshow and RF both had 37 Eligible votes as of 3/31.

So i have instructed Chode to erase all contestants and start fresh with a 24 hour flash vote. 8pm Pacific time tomorrow, i announce the winner. Any minute now we should be ready to go.
