A subsonic set at 23 would still allow 19hz to come trough, it has a rolloff just like any crossover it doesn't just cut anything below that completely.

I realize that. but it wouldnt be full tilt.

You could always use a really steep 48 dB roll off too.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

It would do be useful.

Prevent over excursion. Just have to know if that is the correct point to set it at.

Krakin's Home Dipole Project

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

Preventing over excursion was what I was getting. I just did a poor job of explaining that. I have played a got160's that hit 22hz and 19hz. The subs lost control. I'd prefer not to have that happen .
