2 toasted rockford amps.. wtf...

I would never buy an amp from someone that would replace the set screw with a wood screw no matter how cheap it was.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

its repairable but not worth the trouble... you're better off buying another amp.. at that power range its cheap. scv 1500 is a solid amp

okay, I have a guy that's supposed to be meeting me at my work at 7 to go through it and figure out exactly what's wrong with it and go from there.. would it be worth anything for parts? and I only need 600 rms max as I do not want to over drive the hell out of the subs because they're still under warranty. any other recommendations?

it looks like it was used as a boat anchor.

I can't blame the manufacturer for the way that amp was treated. Buy a new one, hook it up right, take care of it and you will have a lifetime of great tunes. Things break or malfunction......that's what electronics do. But whoever owned that amp before you clearly fucked it up.

Steve, I see that now. lol. but the 1500.1 looked immaculate inside so im not sure what the issue is. I've ran other amps with no problem's and the guy fixing my amp said this is a common issue with these. he said the caps were toasted and that even if he fixes them there is probably another unseen issue, so im stuck on fixing the caps and seeing what happens or trying to sell it for parts or something.
