hispls
Our local org changed over to the new TL this year and I gained a 10th. Another guy who has been dancing around 149.8 49.9 finally got his 150.0. I also witnessed the software crash a few times for the organizer. I really wish a big organization would take up using meters from somebody else. Having a monopoly doesn't really push TL to be competitive. JeepAndBassXJ
The New TL Magnum is a game changer because it is not as greatly affected by psi. Basically the goal is to make things more accurate, so if you meter at sea level or meter at 3000ft it should be almost the same score. The mic is a different technology from what I understand. It will be nice once the clamp probe comes out so that we can see clamped scores alongside our spl scores. Leiffi
Termlab has never been accurate or consistent, especially when doing averages.
audiofanaticz
There are by far more inaccuracies that will make a bigger difference such as the temperature, humidity, elevation, drained or freshly charged batteries, alternator output when its hot vs cold, hot voice coils causing a rise in impedance. To say the termlab is not consistent at doing averages when their are veteran competitors doing bassrace and only having to push play on the radio and only having to control the volume very little if not at all while going through tie breaker after tie breaker rounds would be enough proof that the termlab is fairly consistent. After all bassrace is a 30second average with many samples in that time to determine your score.
