nalacos
Here's the verdict. Having the Head Unit with Sublevel +15 was causing me to set my sub amp incorrectly. I set everything back to stock HU, all amps etc... Found out that the HU does not distort for either track 1 - 2 at max volume 35. So I reset the the gains and redid the crossovers, needless to say its spot on. Amazing products when used correctly, I had just read bad information regarding setting up the HU before I used the DD-1 and CC-1. The sub amp has a remote gain control so I just set that in the middle so I can tweak it depending on the song ( I listen to everything classical to rap, so if changes often ). Did find out that setting the HU with bass boost 1 ( setting 0-3 ) makes the subs sound warmer per say. Made sure that the gain was not distorting when I tested with bass boost setting and DD-1. Do you all think I should use the HU bass boost or adjust the sub amp Punch eq? basically do the same thing. Thank you all for your suggestions and help you provided. Jhunt94
glad it all worked out for you and I've never used the punch eq on any of my RF amps. I haven't heard of many on here that do. 1 Quote 2007 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab. MrSkippyJ
The problem with using them is they boost around a certain frequency. if you are literally only playing that one frequency they are fine, otherwise they usually aren't helpful. i personally would leave both turned off 1 Quote F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
