Hertz_So_Good Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 So I have some local people who buy polyfill by the 10lb box, then proceed to stuff it behind every panel on their vehicle until no more can be stuffed. They say it works just as good as expanding foam without the potential to break things. Is this true?
Keith77 Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 nope... it will get wet. It will mold.. Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.
mothra Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 it will deaden the sound but the foam will strengthen the panel if nothing changes, nothing changes You don't know what you don't know, till you don't know
Hertz_So_Good Posted June 18, 2015 Author Report Posted June 18, 2015 nope... it will get wet. It will mold.. I hope water isn't just coming into the vehicle lol Also, how can plastic mold?
Katt Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 Condensation..hot cold hot cold, soaks into the polyfil, starts to reek and smell. Then the smells forever burned into the vehicle....forced to sell your car because it smells so bad. Nah...ill pass lol. Just spray foam it all. Best option, next to buying deadener. How is foam gonna break things? It expands around. Just black trash bag all the spots, and fill the bag up with foam. That way if you have to remove it, its not stuck to everything in its path. *06 330i - Sundern x12 - saz-3500* *91 Foxbody V1 S-Trim Notch*

reedal Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 Great stuff appears to be the brand of choice on the forum for expanding foam. Hertz_So_Good Posted June 18, 2015 Author Report Posted June 18, 2015 awesome, thank you. Other than filling it in a trash bag, do you all have any other suggestions/tips when using this foam?
notorious97200 Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 The use of trash or plastic bags is a very good idea. I know some guys who will love that.
