Recommendation for frontstage.

^^would you guys stop grab assing and get back to the thread :) (but seriously listen to these people OP)

So maybe a good start is instead of "hey I want something that sounds loud and clear" is to get some more information about your setup. Sub stage is not so much the issue as to what type of music you listen to, car, processor...power...etc. (IMHO)

Maybe lets start out with what car do you have? (so how much room do you have? and you said you could fiberglass your doors but meh if you don't have to may not be worth it)

what amp are you running for your mids and highs?

budget?

Do you want to run a passive component set or a active component set?

What headunit or processing do you have?

That way we can actually get you more in the ballpark of what to look for. (I agree with skullz recommendations so far, I would go with a big component set but it depends on your goals)

I talk to will all the time and he will be working on my truck. It's an 09 nissan titan. I will buy an amp to go with my frontstage. I have a pioneer avh 2600 bt as a headunit. And like I said my budget is about 600 or around that area. Can run passive or active.

What exactly is your sub stage? Two way or three way? Does that $600 include an amp or just speakers?

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.

I suggest grabbing two sets of the PPI 3-ways and do some a pillars. if you are just concerned with keeping up with the substage for yourself. If you are trying to entertain the block then do some 2-ways in the doors as many as you can fit.

If you do the two sets, do both pairs of 6.5's in the door and do the the pairs of 3's and tweeters in the a pillar. It'll keep up, be accurate and be loud and not bleed your ears like bullets will. If you can go active even better. No need for a DSP but, a solid crossover network will be good enough to keep you active. If your amplifiers have a good crossover network that would be ideal.

just my .02

How about a pair of image dynamics xs 6.5s

So I would do what Bassick was saying.

ID's aren't bad but that is more then I would want to drop on a single component set.

Check out HiVi or possibly running Anarchy woofers and vifa or dayton audio tweeters. With the anarchy woofers you would have to have a crossover but you could do that would a good crossover network on the amplifier or run a electronic crossover (like a clarion unit, runs about $80)

Two sets of ppis would be tricky since I'd need to get kick panels or fab my doors to hold two. Or I could run them in the rear but my sub enclosure will be right infront of where the speaker will be playing

Don't run them in the rear, I bet you would be surprised with 1 set with rated clean power from a amp powering them. And really one midbass in the door and one midbass in the kick would sound good too I bet.
