sundownz
I can vouch that the amp dyno results are the actual number shown by the amp dyno (it was tested on my amp dyno) -- although; I'd pay the most attention to Ceritifed / Uncertified figures & not as much the Dynamic figures produced (the large figures @ 0.8 & 0.5 ohm are dynamic, of course). ALL figures are shared for comparison purposes to other amps that were also tested on Dynamic mode.C.A.B. sells all of our B-stock & we also do some other work for C.A.B. products such as testing amps on the dyno & upcoming subwoofer OEM work (they will be releasing the "SA-Ultra" design under the C.A.B. name).Just for reference this is how the different tests are defined : http://www.wccaraudio.com/smd-amp-dyno-ad-1.html In Certified Mode, the AD-1 uses our patented DD-1 distortion detection system to know if the power it is measuring is clean power. The input signal to the amplifier is ramped up until the AD-1 measures > 1.0% harmonic distortion and takes its final power reading and battery voltage readings at that point. Power measured is clean "RMS" power. In Uncertified Mode the AD-1 uses a patent pending technology that ignores harmonic distortions and noise and "looks" for clipping. When the AD-1 measures clipping of the signal that would generate > 1.0% distortion it takes its final power measurement and battery voltage readings at that point. This is useful for amplifiers that are inherently noisy (like some Class D amplifiers and headunits) that could "false trigger" the distortion detection system used in Certified Mode. Power measured is clean "RMS" power. In Dynamic Power Mode the AD-1 uses industry standard bursted signals and captures the power generated by the amplifier during these quick bursts. The high speed microprocessor and patent pending clipping detection system working seamlessly together are able to read the clean "RMS" power output from the amplifier during these very short bursts. (20mS for the 1kHz test, and 100mS for the 40Hz test) Is this equal to a Sundown amp or other high-end Korean amp ? Of course not... look at the price. Is it a great deal on a budget ? IMO -- yes it is. - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
Ahmed Johnson
Are they strappable? If I knew that I'd be able to sell this amp when I was done with it, I'd buy it. If they start selling for under 200 I might buy one.
2loud4uboyz
Back in the 80's I would of loved to have found this kind of power for the money, I'm not saying buy this amp. Really don't know anything about it. Just saying back in the day I would have for the shet and giggles factor of it because of power per dollar. Also wonder if this amp is power hunger ? it looks like a amp that I know of, but beefed up in the cap bank .

firebirdude
Looks like two videos edited together to me. Watch close. Amp stops at 1031 watts and a crazy 16.01 volts with distortion light on (certified is to distortion) and Dyno temp is 77 degrees. Then video flashes, power says 1856, 14.64 volts, and Dyno temp is 76 degrees with distortion light off. So in less than one second how does it instantly flash up 825 watts, down 1.37 volts, lower the Dyno temp which should be heating up, and magically stop distorting. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IkOLqEDSsXk Yeah, it does look fishy. Also every Dyno cideo I've seen in certified climes not jumps around. Exactly my thoughts too. I've never seen a certified mode test hold steady at one number for a solid 8 seconds with the distortion light on, and then sudden jump up another 800+ watts. I think the new firmware (in the newer AD-1's) might roll-up like non certified mode does. Either way it is normal.
