Smoove Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 Isn't the SPL option just less gap to the voice coil and and an extra spider on those? And Im sure they will do more than just burp. 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
audiofanaticz Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 Just saying it would be nice if they told you those options on their site instead of having to go to an outside source. It use to say on their site, but it hasn't in forever. Hell even under the warranty tab it says something about *DUE TO THE EXTREME NATURE OF ITS INTENDED USAGE, THE BTL SERIES OF SUBWOOFERS HAS NO WARRANTY COVERAGE. When was the last time they made a btl series woofer. 2+ years ago, point is they have had more extreme nature of beast woofers since the btl series but nothing is mentioned of them. lol
Facekicker Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 The whole cryptic thing is kinda funny though, when the response is shit like this: I agree it sucks for OP and they could easily put the info on the webpage, but the info -is- out there. 2002 Monte Carlo Started a build log Fi, DC, Mechman, XS Power
audiofanaticz Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 Out there or not, it should be on the site, even when their video is telling you to go on the website and read the technical portion....... Also some options have changed since that video way back in 2011, and some options are not available for every woofer. That would be like going to buy an amp, but having to google search and click on 5 other sites to find out what the manufacture claims for power.
SnowDrifter Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 Contact them and try to change it. If that's a no go, mind your box and run em carefully. I've run subs with tight gaps before, its not too bad. Just make sure your box has no loading issues that could cause uneven pressure on the cone. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
d-nice88 Posted July 16, 2015 Author Report Posted July 16, 2015 Cool beans guys I really appreciate the help. I wish they just said that on there site where u order them from. Like when you choose and option it tells u are you sure u want this option and gives u a breif discription on what that option is for. I was jus so excited on getting some big boy woofers for the first time lol.. a big step up from the re audio sex woofers..
