Cool, I'll have to check those out. Thank you!

"Anchors aweigh! So what do you think of my little vessel? She's what we call a see-worthy. S-E-E, see with your eyes. I feel like my transport should be an extension of my personality. Voila. And this, this is like my little window to the world, and every minute's a different show. Now I may not understand it. I may not even necessarily agree with it. But I'll tell you what, I accept it and just sort of glide along. You want to keep things on an even keel, I guess is what I'm saying. You want to go with the flow. The sea refuses no river. The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving. It saves on introductions and goodbyes. The ride does not require an explanation - just occupants. That's where you guys come in. It's like you come onto this planet with a crayon box. Now you may get the eight-pack, you may get the sixteen-pack, but it's all in what you do with the crayons, the colors, that you're given. And don't worry about drawing within the lines or coloring outside the lines. I say color outside the lines, you know what I mean? Color right off the page. Don't box me in! Anyone ever ran pro audios off of head unit power? Some that have low RMS in particular? Just out of curiosity. My buddy already got the GTO's I suggested, so once he decides on the alpine HU he wants he's good to go. I just figure PA's have a high sensitivity so they would be a decent choice for low power supply

An audiophile would notice the lack of dynamics, but as long as he don't abuse the volume knob thinking he's got 10,000 watts ... he should be fine.

You'd be surprised what my 9980 can do ...

I tune my front stage and image with headunit power alone.

So at the moment while I'm working on my midbass section of the system, I'm running my entire front setup off of headunit power. Yes I can tell a big loss in dynamics and power, but the mechanics of stage and image is spot on ...

So my Kenwood 9980 is powering my 5.25" component set in the dash and my midbass in the doors ... No, I do not have a final word on what the midbass will actually be, but I do know they will be in the doors ... either 8" drivers or 10" drivers.

I'm trying to set up my front stage as a stand alone setup ... meaning no need for subs. We'll see what happens ...

I looked that Kenwood up... it is pretty impressive. A whole lot of features. I like that it can connect to the OBDII and give you info on your vehicle as well.

I decided to suffice with the factory speakers for now, until I can get a cheap 4 channel or something. They're always posted where I am on Craigslist, and I'm a Craigslist fanatic.

I figure waiting would be less work for me down the line as well because I have good days and bad days, mostly bad ATM.

I appreciate all of the info!
