Al LaPorta Posted July 24, 2015 Author Report Posted July 24, 2015 yes. But I realized I may have understood your RMS wrong. 3000rms total or 3000rms per sub? im shooting for 3000 rms total @ 1 Ohm, like i said earlier my last build was 2 XXX 15's on 2400rms and that was pretty nutty so 3000 would be plenty for me, i have all the money for the build but i just wanted some guidance from some fellow bassheads before i pull the trigger on a ~ $1500 system
reedal Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 Then forget the SP4's. They're 3000 a piece. It wouldn't hurt them to underpower like that, but it'd take more power to get them moving the way they were designed to move. The FI BL15's should be good too if you want to go with FI. There's sundown, DC, SoundQubed HDC3 series, ascendant audio, and more that I'm sure would be comparable to the RE audios. But that's a decision you have to make yourself, otherwise this will turn into a versus thread about which is better and why. I haven't heard too much good about RE, but I think that was mostly just their amps and components, the subs could be great. You have experience with them and like them from what I gather, so if they're affordable for you, go for it. Or be adventurous and try a different brand. LoudBimmer Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 honestly, from reading your replies, it doesn't sound that you know what you're doing. Before jumping to BTL or any other big boy sub and amp, you need to better understand how the system works. I mean you don't even know what box tuning your box was at and I also assume the box was build to some random volume.

I mean you don't even know what box tuning your box was at and I also assume the box was build to some random volume I understand what im doing maybe not as much as some of you guys that have been playing with car audio for 10+ years, but ive had 7-8 systems so far. I would just rather research and get other opinions on the newer systems available since I haven't done anything with subs for years. my box was tuned ~28hz and was around 7 cubes I don't remember exactly because it was almost 4 years ago....
Moreno93 Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 Re audio Xxx subs good Sex subs good Amps bad Speakers bad unless there the xxx componets then there pretty good for the money
Al LaPorta Posted July 27, 2015 Author Report Posted July 27, 2015 about to pull the trigger on my amp and start on getting all the electrical squared away, anyone else have any sub suggestions im looking at approximately 9 cubes of box space on 3k rms trunk car
Joe X Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 If only running 3000W, two Sundown X 15s would be enough, XXX would work as well.
