Joseph Chambers
Hello, As the title says Im in the market for a headunit that has these features: HD Radio SiriusXM Bluetooth. Single Din I bought the SiriusXM SXV300v1 for $70 with a $70 mail in rebate Also note I have a iPhone 6 plus. I know I can go and just pick the most expensive radio and call it quits but do I REALLY need to do that? I just what something that does not clip when turned to 100% and has the features I want. If its a generation or 2 old I really don't care. You can see all my equipment in my sig. Nothing has been installed yet. Saved the radio for the last.. Broke_Audio_Addict
I'd pass on both those options for a better quality radio. Sirius and hd radio both suck anyways. Joseph Chambers
I'd pass on both those options for a better quality radio. Sirius and hd radio both suck anyways. sure but I'm also from Michigan between roseville and taylor. (mom and dads) but I live in Mexico.. about 200 miles south of the border and I can still get SiriusXM to get english music and radio personalities. I don't always want to DJ my music.. and streaming music from iTunes music or spotify sucks because bandwidth is expensive! audiofanaticz
Alpine CDE-HD149BT $299.99 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_68903_Alpine-CDE-HD149BT.html It has Bluetooth and HD radio tuner built in, it should work with the SXV300v1 as it says that it works with any sat ready radio. It is also a single din radio with 3 sets of 4volt outputs that are distortion free at max volume (which is 35(with subwoofer volume maxed out at 15)). I tested this with several of these headunits that Ive installed using the dd-1 and dd-1+. It has rear usb w/extension usb cable that you could plug in a usb lighting cable into which can plug into your phone. It also has rear 3.5mm input for an aux source. It is also steering wheel control ready. HD radio really is hit or miss though. Its decent if your in a big metropolitan area, but if your not good luck getting signal. I can pick up signal from 1 station in Milwaukee WI if Im on the far far south side of town in the country, but I need to be sitting still it seems, and Milwaukee is only about 45 minutes away from me. HD radio definitely did not pick up like they claimed it would have thats for sure!

AMAZING! Thats what I like. You tested it. I mean we all know that the Pioneer deh-80prs is a great unit but I have different needs.. I won't always listen to sat radio but I want the option too.. I would have never looked at this to be honest. Also I actually find it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALPINE-CDE-HD149BT-CD-HD-RADIO-RECIEVER-NEW-FREE-SHIP-ipod-car-radio-/261970498381?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cfea8934d for cheaper. hell yea. HMMM. I also see you can do things with the time alignment on that radio too. audiofanaticz
I myself am not a fan of the feel and control that you get with pioneer single din units volume knobs, I also cant stand that they dont have a pause button on the deck which is mandatory if your competing in things like bassrace. I guess you can use the one on the remote if your able to keep track of them things. LoL I like the pioneer screens though. To each their own. Joseph Chambers
Pioneer deh-80prs Im reconsidering my priorities actually. I just submitted a RA to see if they will accept my return for the unopened SiriusXM SXV300v1. I actually only had satellite radio on dish years ago and it was a nice to have for me. I was doing research after you said it sucked and that the antennas sucked.. that its unlistenable. I got kind of sad LOL. I lot of people stand behind the deh-80prs so I may order it tomorrow if they accept my return request. Also if you know the best place to buy these LMK HU: Pioneer DMH-Z5350BT Mids & Highs: ML280.3, ML700.3, ML1800.3 Mille Legend Series 3 way Lows: x3 JL Audio 12TW3 powered by JL Audio RD1500/1 Cable: x2 Skyhigh 0 Gage OFC kits.
