MrGrey13
took me a while to figure out an amp configuration. I'm going with placing the amps on back lit Plexiglas so it looks like the amps are floating. im just mocking up the angles and height. and as always I mock up everything without glue then I finish it, so if it doesn't look pretty just be patient. The foam block is my battery... Durango build log

MrGrey13
Made some progress on the amp rack. More things should be showing up today so it wont be much longer until this is done! Durango build log
MrGrey13
I picked up an LED strip with a controller and remote. Its powered by a plug and that wont work for me so its time to modify it... I started off by replacing the plug portion with actual wires, then I extended the RGB wires. The reason I did this is so i can place the controller with the IR sensor near my 3rd brake light so I can use the remote inside or outside the car. I will then use a distribution block for the RGB wires. I ran out of tape and looming so zip ties are there holding the wires together for now... MrGrey13
The batteries showed up today, these two will provide about 2700 amps of power. This should be perfect for the setup I have and I saved money buying these two instead of one big battery at close to the same amperage. I used some foam tape to reduce the chance of rattles from the amps on the plexi. The plexi needs to be cleaned up and polished a little but I wont do that until im ready to put this in the car. MrGrey13
Got the amp rack in tonight. I will take it back out to put the final touches on but its time to start mocking up everything else so I need it in. And lets face it... I'm dying to hear this new box! I found this distribution block that has a separate positive and negative side. only the amps and LED's will use this for now, I may add fans later if needed. I need a negative distribution block... Again, this will be cleaned up later, just making sure everything fits and works. Cant see much in this pic but its satisfying to look back while driving and see the lights with the seats down.
