Lsufan51 Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 I have 2 fosgate t1 dvc 4 ohm 12s on a fosgate t2500bdcp. They are wired to a 4 ohm load so they should be getting just about the right amount of power. The amp was tuned with a dd1. The problem is they don't get loud until I crank the volume up to about 3/4 of the way. The box they are in is built to specs. Why aren't they getting loud?

Miguels Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 There is nothing wrong with it. In fact, that's how it should be when an amp is tuned right. When your system gets loud on number 10 it means the gain is turned way up. When it's tuned right you get max at head unit max. If you wire to 1 ohm you will have same result but will be loud due to more power. Lsufan51 Posted September 26, 2015 Author Report Posted September 26, 2015 I have all the eq settings flat. No bass boost or anything on. I know it's supposed to be the loudest at max volume, but you can't even hear them until the head unit is turned up to about half way.

If it's that big of a deal, set your gain with volume at that halfway point. And then don't go past it.
