Why aren't my subs loud

I have 2 fosgate t1 dvc 4 ohm 12s on a fosgate t2500bdcp. They are wired to a 4 ohm load so they should be getting just about the right amount of power. The amp was tuned with a dd1. The problem is they don't get loud until I crank the volume up to about 3/4 of the way. The box they are in is built to specs. Why aren't they getting loud?

If I change the ohm load, would I need to tune my amp again?

If it was tuned with a dd1 then no

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

There is nothing wrong with it. In fact, that's how it should be when an amp is tuned right. When your system gets loud on number 10 it means the gain is turned way up. When it's tuned right you get max at head unit max. If you wire to 1 ohm you will have same result but will be loud due to more power. If you wire at 1 ohm I would retune it due to the fact that it draws more amperage and can cause it to clip sooner

Why does it matter the point at which you start to hear them? If it's that big of a deal, set your gain with volume at that halfway point. And then don't go past it. I don't understand the point of this thread, or the 6 others you made about the same issue within twenty minutes
