So because I stripped the Jeep out and am preparing to do a rebuild I thought it would be a good time to get some other things done to the car. Found some rims for the cheap and wanted to clean them up. I have other things I want to do to the car in the coming weeks before I start on the wall.

After 6 years I am actually doing some rims on this thing lol

Just a bit of touch up and they will look good, you get the idea.

Going to get the rims finished up today and mounted this week. In the mean time I have been working on the poor doors lol. They defiantly need some repair and beefing up. Took me hours to get all the old deadener off (like 4 layers). The windows have actually been floating around inside the door because the window crank system broke off the inner door skin. So I have to fabricate something the get those back together. Also the doors have some cracks in them. SOOOO much to figure out before I move on.

Do you have a welder? A small wire feed mig would make short work of that bracket and crack. One thing that you can do to keep the crack from getting longer, is to drill a small hole at the ends or the crack.

  • 3 weeks later...

More preparation before I start working on the wall rebuild. The doors were in need of some repairs first.

To remove the doors I had to basically take apart the whole car...

Welded door hinges back on, welded cracks closed, and fixed the door check. So now to get some paint made and spray the door jams.

So I designed the wall so that it would be somewhat possible to take the baffle out and/or the back off. Took about a full day to do this but now I'm back to a workable shell and exposed frame. Going to do a new baffle setup and extend the box to add about 5 or 6 cubes :)

Just needs a little cleaning up
