2/0 Welding Cable - Special (Jan 25th-29th) $1.60ft

Recommended Posts

Ok here yougo

Good for 223 amps at $2.87/foot

http://www.wireandcabletogo.com/2-0-Welding-Cable-Class-K.html

Ofc from knukonceptz is 375 at $3.50/foot

http://www.knukonceptz.com/mobile-audio/power-wire/kolossus-fleks-kable/sp/kolossus-fleks-kable-10-black-powerground-wire/

If you needed say 600 amps worth youd need 3 runs (say 15 feet) of the welding cable ($130) and 2 for knu ($105).

Now $1.60/foot is fine but id rather have less runs

actually the rating for welding cable is skewed because of the distance of the wire they test. if you look here...

http://www.directwireusa.com/resources/welding-cable-size-amperage-chart.pdf

youll see that 2/0 is rated for 400 amps, but at 50' which is way longer than we would ever need. when it comes to having a 12' or 15' run of power wire, the amount of amperage you can pull is significantly larger. while if you look at the knu concepts its rated for 375 amps over only a 20' length.

EB Flex 2/0 is the only power cable in my truck. Stuff is AWESOME, but a little stiff if you need tight bends. Can use it for long runs, and car audio 1/0 for short runs to amp if needed.

When I bought mine it was like 144ft for $255 or something like that.

Also doesn't welding cable also have vibration issues? (I say that as a question but we had issues in the winter on my truck with it)

the flexibility of the Knu/SkyH etc stuff and the stranded cabling makes it so that it holds up better to vibration then welding cable, also it has a thicker jacket most times but to each their own.

Even dodge runs a different style cable to run its battery in the back.

Just something to keep in mind.

I love the eb flex welding wire for $1.60 a ft for 2/0... The two darker red is car audio 1/0 knu and cadence and the light red and black are eb flex 2/0 welding wire

EB has a thicker jacket then any car audio wire I have used, and also a larger diameter compared to 1/0 car audio wire.

Yea the EB flex looks totally different then the welding cable stuff I used in the past. I think Dodge uses sonoflex or something like that its stranded too. I guess when I think welding cable I think the solid-core 4-5 strand type that won't flex for shit.

The 2/0 is like 1800 strand.
