tribe523 Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 This is fourth order for an fi bl 10. About .502 cu ft sealed and 1.05 net cu ft ported tuned to 45 hz. Its going where the center console is in a chevy silverado. The picture displays the port on the bottom but it will actually be firing upward.
Triticum Agricolam Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Well without dimensions it hard to tell exactly, but your port looks to be significantly undersized. How much power are you going to be running this on? Why not just use a ported box? diegoclass2010 Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 i get that the sketch is a top view and its missing the lid... but i can't seem to find the port?. anyways i dont think you need 45's on the sealed section it will give you a little bit more of volume.
CstrokerV Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Would he need the high qts for a fourth i have been wondering that myself whyn i was looking at the qs my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/

Yeah the high QTS option would be better for 4th order bandpass box use. In a 4th order bandpass enclosure low QTS subs are much more peaky/have smaller bandwidth than a higher QTS sub would, all else being equal. CleanSierra Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 The Bl isn't ideal for a 4th bandpass either. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
