dolarbilz
Thank you for all of your help. The hertz speakers look really nice, but can't really find where to buy them to look at prices. If I had the hertz mid range on the dash, and infinity reference 6.5's in the doors, do you think they would go well together? Or would you recommend a tweeter as well. The 6.5's are pretty crisp already so I think I should be good, just want some input. What is your budget?
White Lightning
bust out the fiberglass and do a 4 tweet combo even a wood plate cut to the big ass speaker grill size in the blazerMight could go with a 5.25" coax ... Can't remember with those vehicles. Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? Try Here ... CleanSierra
I ran these in my Jeep and liked them alot. Before these were a pair of pioneer 3 ways but I didn't care for the harshness they had. I had those Infinity plates too and despised the way they sounded. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Mr DeeBeez
I was looking through the hertz products and found this 4x6 http://www.elettromedia-usa.com/hertz-dcx4603 Would that be better than a 4" speaker? they look pretty nice. Esgedi
Are you looking for supplemental speakers or main driver? If supplemental, i'd just go with a 4" mid or something. Don't trust a shop but you personally just smoked two decks, makes sense. 03' Trailblazer LTDayton Designer 6.5"s & Silkie tweetersDayton Audio Ultimax 18"Pioneer 9601 & 8604XS Power D34002 runs 1/0Singer
Mr DeeBeez
I would say suplimental. I find that if I just have my door speakers in, it just doesn't sound right. You can tell sound is coming from by your feet. I want it to feel like your surrounded by the sound. So it's pretty much to have a surround sound effect. Esgedi
I'd personally go with a set of these. https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/approx-4-woofers/scanspeak-discovery-12w/8524g-4.5-fiberglass-cone-woofer/I find off the shelf car audio solutions to be way too harsh for dash installs, especially when reflecting off of glass. Just my 2 cents though.
