Sounds good. Ill have to try it and really read over bumps write up on then so i dont blow shit up. Its definitely something i want to try since im gona start another build on my 95 gmc. Would like to have one good batt up front and maybe just caps in the back for the truck. Im only gona be running around 3k (fsd 2600)

I've been running 14k off of a single 240amp alt and 8 banks of maxwell caps in my daily driver for a couple years now. They work great and hold voltage very well.

Not sure if I remember correctly but Daniel told me that a single bank is good enough as 200 ah worth of batteries

they cant be compared to batteries. I said each bank is good for 200 amps continuous draw. any more and they start to heat too much.

XS has said before it would be mainly for there competitors and people who know what theyre doing. theres plenty of room for error with caps and if you short them the amount of power let loose is way greater than a battery. they just wanna be sure that whoever is going to buy them is going to be safe

they will sell the bank to anyone.. they wont sell the caps on their own unless you know what you are doing and sign a waver

Well I just hopped on this band wagon so to speak I have a single bank (6) 2.7 3000f maxwell caps arriving tomorrow, I have copper bars waiting on their arrival and this post has answered SOME of my questions prior to installing them.

On using the 1% 100ohm resistors do I need to get a specific wattage rating on them or? And since I am going to use the resistors its just on between each + and - pair so I would need 3 resistors correct?

Also I am seeing 5% resistors not able to find 1%.

I'm dead serious when I ask this, does anyone know of these blowing up in people's cars? I was thinking of putting a bank in my truck but was afraid I'd be a Jihad waiting to happen

Well I am going to wire mine after a 500 amp relay so they don't get dragged down in voltage when the vehicle is off. As for the need for resistors or the balancing circuit from another topic on here the general feeling I get is that in large instances, such as 5+ banks you surely SHOULD be using a balancing circuit however in my case of a single bank I think it will be fine without it, but I will be getting the resistors just in case.
