Thanx 4 the advice.

I did a big three but biggest wire I had was 6awg, amp and ground is 4awg. You think it may be a voltage drop causing the cut off? Right before it cuts off the lights(headlights and H/U display) start to dim an dance.if so bigger awg wires and having it re tuned should fix it, maybe??

I would start by upgrading your starting battery to an AGM, swap out that 6 ga for 1/0 or 2, then see if any shop out there can tune your system....and if you still get voltage drop, add a second batt or get a high output alt....match the ground and power wires as far as size goes and you should be good with just adding a second batt...
Awsome, thank you for the input. Now I know what direction to go when my $ gets right. I deff been wanting to upgrade all my wires cuz eventually I'll get the amp and subs I been wanting and the wires I have now won't do.

I'll start with the batt and alt once I can afford it.

Thank you 4 helping out a broke basshead lol

Anytime brotha....this hobby ain't cheap but atleast it makes us happy....

Does anybody know what that amp puts out? The alt should be good for 130A at least. Maybe the alt is weak. Check the charging voltage with all accessories except the stereo on. It should be over 12v.

I'm not sure about the voltage on the amp but it's rated at 1800max 900rms and the subs are rated 800rms each(what it says on the box anyway) my alt is a 190v that goes on a limo lol when I went to autozone to buy a new one they gave me a 160v for a 4.6liter v8 but it wouldn't fit so they exchanged it for a 190v for a 4.6liter v8 limo and it bolted right up perfectly.

Bout 2-3yrs ago my head gasket blew out and the motor got ruined so I guess the shop put a 4.6 from a limo. Never knew till I started buying parts for it lol

make sure your headunit isnt some how touching the ground from the harness.. noob mistake i did took me forever to figure out why it was doing it... this was like 10 years ago lol as sson as i fixed that never had a problem this could be your problem but unlikely if the headunit i properly grounded and wires done right... then again i think i grounded it to the deck lol pretty sure i was in a rush and didn't pay much attention to what i was doing

With a 190amp alt you should be ok. I'd go to your local stereo shop and ask if they have any 1/0 wire scraps you could grab, or if you could purchase just a few feet.

I think I may have fixed the problem. I was checking all my wires and connectors and found the ground wire on the amp was loose. Turns out the dam screw was stripped out some how. I had to drill the hole out just a very tiny bit so I could put a small nut/bolt combo and snuged it up real good and put a tiny drop of guerilla glue on the backside to kinda lock the nut in place. Havnt had any issues yet and I been beating the hell out of it tryin to see if it will do it. I need to have my amp tuned properly tho cuz it clips with bass boost on, plus I'm gonna do like y'all suggest when I can afford it and upgrade ALL my wires to 0/1awg or at least 2awg.

Thanks everyone for the help.
