Mariothadon Posted June 27, 2016 Author Report Posted June 27, 2016 keeping up with 2 12s is not that tough, don't over think this. No sense in over complicating stuff that can be pretty simple. So you think 2 sets of 6x9s will be enough on a 4 channel?
MrSkippyJ Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Yeah but personally I would do four 6.5" components F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
Jessica Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 lots of car audio places sell the adapters on line. Soniceltronix, crutchfield, amazon, ebay..... If you cant see your 6x9's now you wont see the 6.5's if you put them in the same location. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with 6x9's but you have a lot more options if you go with 6.5" adapaters. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 If you want loud and cheap, here you go. These are sold individually so you'd have to buy 4. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Lanzar-OPTI69HPRO4-6-x9-Speaker/45050286?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=14&adid=22222222228033219679&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=81766116489&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=138668930889&veh=sem That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
notorious97200 Posted July 20, 2016 Report Posted July 20, 2016 I've never seen home audio systems, or pro audio systems with oval speakers. They are always round. 6x9's were used in cars to maximize output in tiny locations, where you could not run 8" speakers or subs. That's what I always thought ! Run round 6.5 and have fun. You don't need a lot of equipments to sound good and be loud ! black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a sealed box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
