ridinclean97 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 I am stuck between the skar vvx v3 15, and the ddx 15 by skar. the ddx 15 looks like a beefed up sa15, it actually weighs more than the sa too. only red flag was the 41 hz fs. both subs are $170 shipped https://www.skaraudio.com/products/ddx-15?variant=18101248961 https://www.skaraudio.com/collections/vvxv3-series/products/vvx-15v3?variant=18135448129 ddx is rated at 1000 rms while the vvx is 600 rms. same size voice coils but the vvx weighs 10 lbs heavier and looks like it could take more abuse. if i ran the ddx id get the audiopipe 1500 watt ($150) if i got the vvx id get the skar rp800.1 ($140)
Bayuk89 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Looks like your TELLING us more than ASKING us. Whats your goal, what do you want ?
Bayuk89 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Get a quality 1-1.2k amp and choose either sub, ive heard of people running both with similar opinions. You may not even know the difference, also the FS of a sub shouldnt judge the factor of you buying it or not.... There is more to the T/S parameters than that. Also do you have the room for a 15" sub box ?
Ron36 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 For about 240 can get an SA-15 , I would start there 1500rms under rated . 2022 Ford Maverick on 22’s Skar SK1500.1 on 4 Skar VD-8’s Mids Sundown Super tweeters, Skar TX 6.5 components on Skar SKM400.4 LC2 for audio control , XS Power D680 XS Series Extra Battery
Triticum Agricolam Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Asking what is the "best" sub is like asking what is the "best" car, it depends greatly on what your goals are. Between the two subs you are looking at the the DDX has a lot stiffer suspension, which is probably where its higher Fs comes from. This will make its output be a lot more peaky than the other sub, so they are going to sound quite a bit different. As far as which one will be better depends on how you like your music to sound. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 For about 240 can get an SA-15 , I would start there 1500rms under rated . Since when are the sa series sub's rated for 1500rms? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Mariothadon Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 For about 240 can get an SA-15 , I would start there 1500rms under rated . Since when are the sa series sub's rated for 1500rms? They aren't LMAOOOOOO , dude is obviously saying it can take that much powa!!!
DLHgn Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 If you're looking for a 15" under $200 that can take a beating you can always check out the B2 audio IS15. They can take some major abuse and are very underrated.
ridinclean97 Posted July 4, 2016 Author Report Posted July 4, 2016 I already have a 4.5 cube box tuned at 34 hz nice braced enclosure. Trying to get as loud as possible
