And the comment about buying a bunch of lowers couldn't be more true. You can get a cheap stripped lower for $50 and now you have the "rifle" no matter what happens with politics. There are guys that literally have safes full of lowers (40+) just to have in case they are banned. The other parts to build the gun will probably always be manufactured so you could technically build more rifles even if they instil some crazy ban in the future

Lowers is a smart move. Even if you don't want the guns if a serious ban takes place they'll be worth a fortune.

Unless the ban forbids sales, which is likely to be what happens if there ever is another ban, then your lowers are worth dick.

You would still have them for your use though. I have my stockpile just for that reason.

The tighter the restrictions the more they're worth. If private sale gets banned prices will be ungodly. Risky I'll grant you but still.
