Broke_Audio_Addict Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 I'm running 8k on 2 x18s and it sounds good. I have smoked one already though.. They will take 6-8k dangerously for the pair. They are more stable at 4k per pair thouugh and im doing that as soon as I get to building a wall and buying another x18. If you clip at all on 6-8k your speakers are poof. Just because you have 8krms worth of amp it doesn't mean those subs are ever gonna see 8k. If you're not all those things, but you have quite a bit of disposable income for recones, go for it. If you don't really have much experience in box design, and you don't have a lot of spare cash, then go for it and post a video in YouTube the first time you play it. 2 Quote
