What gauge is stock positive cable 05 Escalade?

Long story short, I replaced mine with 0 gauge before I knew about these trucks having the seld adjusting alternator voltage.

Now I want to change the 0 gauge to whatever stock gauge it had.

Any ideas? I assume all gm trucks around this year would have the same gauge for the positive battery cable

8 gauge,

so why are you wanting to change it back? it would still be best to have 1/0 even if it self regulates.

Thanks bill! BTW my A-pillars look amazing, I just actually dropped my truck off to get the headliner/pillars wrapped in suede so I will put some pics up this weekend.

Got a link to the factory one? Ive been trying to look but couldn't find it.

Thanks!

When you do the big 3 you should just be adding to the stock wiring

No problem, wasn't sure who I made the pillars for lol you might ge able order a stock charging wire through any local auto parts store

it's not the wire size that's causing the alt to charge to high. It's because you removed the stock, that was probably attached/ran through some type of sensor.

You guys are right, so I am going to either get 8awg and run it through battery current sensor and fuse it or get stock wire which i actually dont think is fused. Would the big 3 help on the regulated stock alt? I was under the impression it wouldnt really be beneificial. Id rather run two extra alts and keep stock alt for the trucks electrical not audio. Thanks again guys for ant imput, tons of knowledge on these forums!!
