He said if he goes the 18s route, he'd if possible add 2 more down the road making for a total of 4 18s. Shit even on the same power, if the 18's were on 4kw and the 8 12's were on 4kw, I would take the 8 12's. dsw422 Posted September 18, 2016 Author Report Share Posted September 18, 2016 Ok.. so I graphed it out on winISD. It turns out that the 12s will be ever so slightly louder than the 18s. So I think in terms of output per dollar, the 18s are better. Plus like I said, I can cut the back layer baffles for 4 18s and current the front layer for 2.
