BMS Posted November 12, 2016 Report Posted November 12, 2016 I have 2 12'' 3500 watt rms subs you know 8 layer 4'' voice coil quad stack ect point is they are serious subwoofers and i want the box done right but it is going to be way to big to be assembled outside of the car and i'm just not comfortable building a box like this yet. the guy seemed to be experianced but at the same time i said coil overhang and he just looked all confused and said oh you mean xmax which are kinda the same thing. he basically said he doesn't need ts parameters and he uses kickeru for his calculations. I don't know what i should pay and the worst part is i don't know what kind of output i should get. we were taliking about ported or a 4th order he said something about a 6th order having a negative effect on a drivers life?

3vil Posted November 12, 2016 Report Posted November 12, 2016 The person you spoke with doesn't sound very experienced. I'd recommend looking at other shops and see if you can find a more experienced builder/designer.
