Wasteland_Audio Posted December 13, 2016 Report Posted December 13, 2016 So i've been running my two DC lvl 6 18s for a while now and I think it may be time for an upgrade. My main question here is would I be better off keeping my DCs or selling them for 4 lower power 18s? I know cone area is king but will the gains be worth it? I'm currently running 2 4500s in a walled Suburban. I would love to get 2 more lvl 6 but unfortunately they are the older m3 version and can't afford to get all new m4s and the amps to push them. The reason I ask is I may have a line on 4 Crossfire XS-v2 18s. Any advice would be welcome!

Put a 4500 on each xv2 and enjoy. Yea right now i only have the 2 4500s but down the road i would either get 2 more (if i could find them, they're discontinued), or get 2 6k 0r 7k amps. Start saving for rebuild/amps That's exactly what i'm planning, I can get the 4 crossfires for $1200 and sell the DCs for around the same (both have fresh recones). Thankfully i designed the wall to accept 2 more 18s. All i really need to rebuild is the port, cut 2 more holes and move the back wall a little bit.
